An old beauty in Alton Towers

I certainly enjoyed wandering around the old and dusty buildings at Alton Towers while my children were experiencing scary thrill rides.

A lady by the Hymn

8.85" x 7.4"
A lady by the Hymn
Watercolour on paper

Does she look hydrated enough?
Last summer, when I visited the Tate Modern gallery, London, Damien Hirst’s sculpture Hymn (1999) was being displayed in front of the Tate.
The sculpture was welcomed by children who were touching and leaning against it.
This is a painting of a lady who was resting with a cooled bottle of water.

I accidentally ordered hot press watercolour papers instead of cold press that I had to adapt to the smooth surface. It is quite challenging but I think I am enjoying it.
